This particular sheep rug is interesting for one reason specifically. None other rug has little legs formed at the end, only this one. Since the shearing process is done by the woman who owns the flock of sheep that we collect wool from, she is experienced shearer but amount of other work she has around the flock as a solo farmer is not allowing her to do the job neatly. So instead of having the fleece in one or up to three parts we get it in more than 3 parts so the felting job takes a bit extra work to do. But not in this particular case. This time it was a shearing time for a lamb and it took less work so the fleece stayed mostly in one piece.
And voilà, we get to have unique piece.

NOTE: All our products are animal-friendly and eco-friendly; no sheep were harmed in the process, and no chemicals were used in treating the wool. The wool that was used for the product was saved from being a waste, so buying this product makes you a wonderful person who cares for sustainability.
NOTE to a customer: A rug is a handmade natural product made out of wool, so it is expected for some hair to be lost. All woolen products pill to a certain extent as a result of friction, which does not constitute a defect.
If you've heard of the famous Plitvice Lakes in Croatia, then you'll know how beautiful the waterfalls are. Also, you'll be happy to know that all our wool is sourced from there.
Plitvice Lakes are part of Lika, the area of Croatia known for rigid living conditions—a reason to appreciate the rugs made of wool cultivated in such a harsh climate.
Healthy living is all about living in harmony with Nature, respecting it, making eco-friendly choices, and living an organic lifestyle. So choosing wool for its sustainable material qualities is a logical choice. A modern home with woolly, puzzle-shaped rugs is a beautiful combination.
